The NurSING Notes are an all R.N.
Barbershop Quartet
The
NurSING Notes
have been invited by healthcare audiences across the nation to put
the
SING
in
NurSING.
Their
charge
is to spread
HEALTH & HUMOR through HARMONY!
The quartet has earned ovations throughout the USA and Canada since they made their
debut at the New York State Nursing Association's convention in 1989. At
state and national conferences, nursing meetings, hospitals, schools
and colleges,
The NurSING Notes
harmonize fearlessly on topics that are sources of professional pain
including; staffing shortages, patient safety issues, health
problems, nursing jargon and stress. Their music, in a humorous way,
points out the challenges in nursing and healthcare and sometimes
offers solutions or delusions to the stressful healthcare
environment.

As a comedy quartet,
Larry, Glen, Wayne & Archie
write parodies to familiar songs and write their own original songs
in a "NurSINGshop" style as much of their music has "barbershop"
roots. They take poetic license by adding a variety of instruments,
singing a capella, Doo-Wop and adding dance routines. Their ministry
of harmony and humor has developed into a new form of NurSING to the
healthcare community.
